Domains at Retail has changed things up to offer unlimited hosting options. People were getting to the site searching for web hosting with unlimited bandwidth and unlimited space. To their dissappointment they would not find that option before.

Well we have listened to what our visitors are searching for and have changed our Premium Hosting plan to an Unlimited Web Hosting plan. You will now be able to get unlimited transfer hosting, if that fits your requirements. While the unlimited option exists, those searching for free unlimited hosting won’t find it here although we do offer free ad based hosting.

One thing to remember, the unlimited plan does include the ability for unlimited domain hosting. What this means is you can have unlimited bandwidth and disk space, but also host 10, 20, 30 or even more web sites all under the same plan. This applies to the deluxe plan as well for multiple domain hosting, but the deluxe of course has space and transfer limits.

Affordable Low Cost Web Hosting

A new year is here and everyone at Domains at Retail wants to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We thought it would be a good idea to highlight our Affordable Low Cost Web Hosting plans to everyone.

When thinking of low cost web hosting, you have to be looking at a shared hosting plan. This means multiple clients and web sites are hosted on the same servers. SSH Hosting

As a Domains at Retail user using our Linux Shared Hosting, you can use SSH to connect to your Hosting account. It is not enabled by default, and will need to be enabled to get the SSH working.

What is SSH?

SSH (Secure Shell or Secure Socket Shell) is a protocol used to securely access a remote computer.

SSH is a suite of three utilities: slogin, SSH, and SCP. SSH authenticates both server and client connections and encrypts passwords. SSH is popular among network administrators for accessing and managing remote servers. It can also be a secure alternative to FTP.

To use SSH with your shared hosting account, you need a client that supports SSH. Some FTP clients offer SSH security.

Unlimited Multiple Domain Hosting

That’s right, you can have Multiple Domain Hosting and the limit is Unlimited. Multiple Web sites may be hosted within a single hosting account, sharing the same disk space and bandwidth quotas.

This is true for both our Windows Shared Hosting and Linux Shared Hosting. How does this work to your advantage? Let’s do a case study:

You Need: 5 Small Web Sites hosted with an expected average hits of 300 per day. Each site will at most be 20 MB. One site will contain video of size 50 MB.

Analysis: Those 5 websites will total 1500 hits / day. They will need storage space of 100 MB for the site, plus an additional 50 MB for the video. In total they require 150 MB of Disk Space.

Conclusion: The Deluxe plan offers 1,500 GB of Monthly Data Transfer. More than sufficient enough to handle all 5 Websites. If you have 5 sites that are more image and video based and need more bandwidth? Upgrade to the Premium Hosting and receive 3,000 GB of Monthly Data Transfer. You also receive 150 GB of Disk Space for Deluxe and 300 GB of Disk Space for the Premium Hosting. This is sufficient space to host all 5 web sites.

So how does this benefit you?: If you decided to go with our Economy Linux plan you would only be able to host 1 web site for $4.95 / month. With the deluxe plan you are able to host all 5 websites for $9.95. If you bought an economy plan for each web site you would have paid 5 x $ 4.95 = $ 24.75. You save $14.80 by going the Deluxe Hosting route.

Once installed, the languages are pervasive and can be selected at every level of the Plesk control panel.
